A large part of keeping the body healthy is to keep the immune system healthy. When the immune system gets weakened or confused, our internal strength and immunity can get directed at our own tissue and cells. Keeping the body properly supported and removing some key immune-confusing pathogens can restore a healthy state.
Autoimmunity tends to start with two events:
- The body / mind undergoes some sort of trauma, starting a state of fight or flight.
- An immune-confusing pathogen (bacteria, virus, fungus or parasite) is allowed to flourish while the body is in fight or flight.
We need to reverse this process to return the body to health. To do that, we need to kill the invading organism and help the person process any emotions or physical trauma that may have triggered their sickness.
Unfortunately, when an autoimmune condition sets in, it confuses the immune system enough that the body doesn’t end up fighting the right enemy. To restore clarity to the immune system, we will balance the cause of the confusion—our four pathways of autoimmunity
